Charlie Cox, known for his role as Daredevil, has revealed that he's lending his voice to an unannounced Sega video game. The actor shared the news during New York Comic-Con 2026 in an interview with IGN's Jeffrey Vega, confirming that he's already finished recording for the project.
"I did another one! It doesn't have a name yet," Cox said. "I did a Sega one. I've done one since. It hasn't come out yet. It was fun to do. It's hard. It's a whole different job, man."
Cox also shared a funny story about his first day on the job, where the team was surprised to learn he isn't American. "I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say, but I showed up for it, and I met them for the first time, they asked me to do this game, and so I agreed to it. Then I had to do 40 hours or whatever it was, and I showed up for the first day, and I was like, 'Hi guys, nice to meet you! How are you?' And all of them went, '...oh, he's English.' They'd hoped, they'd wanted him to be American. But now I've got to do 40 hours of lines I've not prepared in an accent. Yeah, I think they thought I was American."
This gives us a clue about his role: he'll be playing an American character (or at least one with an American accent), and given the 40 hours of dialogue he recorded, his part is likely significant to the game's story.
Earlier this year, Cox mentioned he was working on a new game but kept details under wraps. So far, that's all we know.
Cox has already shown his voice acting talent in Expedition 33, where he played Gustave and recorded all his lines in just four hours. His performance was praised by players after the game launched in 2025, earning him a Best Performance nomination at The Game Awards that year.
Sega's upcoming lineup includes Stranger Than Heaven, Virtua Fighter Crossroads, Persona 6, and Alien: Isolation 2, among others. Since this project doesn't even have a name yet, it's unlikely to be any of those announced titles. We'll have to wait and see what Sega has in store.
Meanwhile, Charlie Cox fans can look forward to Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, which will mark the end of Matt Murdock's current adventures—at least for now. The news came in late September along with reports that showrunner Dario Scardapane exited the series during post-production.
Kingpin actor Vincent D'Onofrio shared a heartfelt goodbye on social media, writing, "We have the final Season, season 3 heading your way next year with some very cool stuff. Much love to all who have been supportive. I love that character Fisk. Always will. Off to another neck off the woods. Meanwhile… Season 3 is coming!"
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is set to release in early 2027.
