Garfield - Escape From Monday Gameplay Trailer Reveals the Horrors of 'The Curse of the Spinach Lasagna'

IGN has exclusively unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Garfield - Escape From Monday, which showcases the terrifying 'Curse of the Spinach Lasagna' and suggests that vegetables might not be as healthy as we once believed!

The latest trailer for the game starts off pleasantly, with Garfield dreaming of his favorite junk food. However, it quickly takes a dark turn as the dream morphs into a nightmare filled with vegetables.

It turns out that Jon fed Garfield a spinach lasagna inspired by Chef Monday's recipe, plunging him into a deep sleep and trapping him in this terrifying yet healthy dream world. Fortunately, Jon, Odie, Arlene, and Pookie are there to assist him, but he'll still need to watch out for Nermal, Squeak, and various other enemies.

Garfield will also have access to three special costumes, each with a unique ability: the Turkey outfit lets him fly, the Surfer outfit allows him to glide across water, and the Cowboy outfit comes with a lasso for swinging.

Garfield - Escape From Monday features three worlds and over 40 levels, promising a fun 3D platforming adventure that pays homage to Garfield creator Jim Davis. Fans can even spot what appears to be some of his artwork in the picture frames shown in the trailer!

Developed by OSome Studio, Garfield - Escape From Monday launches on September 24, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
