A fresh look at Kingdom Hearts 4 could be on the horizon. Disney has announced its schedule for D23, a convention dedicated to all things Disney, including movies, TV shows, and more. While fans can expect updates on numerous major projects, one title stands out for gamers: Kingdom Hearts 4. Although Disney hasn't explicitly confirmed new gameplay for the game at D23, it has revealed an hour-long panel celebrating 25 years of Kingdom Hearts. The panel description reads: "Join us for a journey through light and darkness as we commemorate 25 years of Kingdom Hearts. Discover how this saga united Disney, Pixar, and Square Enix, with insights from the creative minds, character voices, and more behind the magic." It would be surprising if such a milestone panel passed without any Kingdom Hearts 4 news, but this is Square Enix we're talking about. The company has missed opportunities to promote new games before. However, the game's release seems to be drawing closer. Last month, Kingdom Hearts 4 received its first trailer in four years during a Nintendo Direct. While it didn't blow fans away with groundbreaking reveals or a release date, it signaled that Square Enix is ramping up marketing. Perhaps the D23 panel will offer a glimpse of new content or even a 2027 release window. For now, we'll have to keep our fingers crossed and hope Square Enix delivers.
