Konami Teams Up with Celebrity Cat Uno for Metal Gear-Themed Toy Line at CatCon 2026

Konami has announced a collaboration with 'one-eared Uno,' a famous feline influencer, to launch an exclusive line of Metal Gear cat toys at CatCon 2026. For those unfamiliar, CatCon is an annual convention held in Pasadena, California, that gathers cat enthusiasts worldwide for exhibits, workshops, adoption events, and celebrity cat meet-and-greets.

At this year's convention, Uno and her owner, Kat Curtis, will host a special meet-and-greet at the Konami booth to celebrate the release of these unique toys. The collection includes cat scratch boxes designed to mimic the iconic cardboard boxes used by series protagonists Big Boss and Old Snake for stealth, plush toys, and cat collars inspired by Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Uno, who was rescued by Curtis after being found abandoned near a dumpster, is known for her endearing underbite and has amassed over five million followers on social media. Fans can meet her at CatCon on October 12 at 2 PM PST.

CatCon will take place at the Pasadena Convention Center from October 10 to 11. Attendees can purchase the Snake-approved merchandise exclusively during these days, both at the convention and online via the OKS Gear Shop.

Additionally, fans attending the convention can enter to win a chance to meet Uno and receive exclusive Metal Gear merch by visiting the Konami booth and either demonstrating ownership of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, adding it to their wishlist, or making a purchase of Metal Gear merchandise at the booth.

While this partnership may seem unconventional, it aligns with the series' history of absurdity. The collaboration coincides with the launch of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, a compilation of classic stealth-action games set to release on August 17, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
