Arc System Works has revealed the last three playable characters for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, rounding out the roster with fan favorites and a quick nod to a PlayStation icon. The fifth team, Samurai Outriders, features previously announced Ghost Rider, plus newcomers Blade, Deadpool, and Loki.
Deadpool, voiced by Nolan North, steals the show with a barrage of Easter eggs. He pulls off his own version of Mortal Kombat's 'Toasty!', executes Johnny Cage's infamous Ball Buster move, strikes the Jack-O'-Pose from Guilty Gear, and even winks at fan expectations for a Midnight Sons team name.
But the real treat is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance of Polygon Man at the 1:43 mark. During Deadpool's 'random bulls**t go!' attack, he repeatedly smacks his opponent with Polygon Man's geometric head. For those unfamiliar, Polygon Man was Sony's scrapped 1995 mascot for PlayStation in North America, later resurrected as the final boss in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Could this imply a shared universe? Sure, why not?
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches on PlayStation 5 and PC on August 6, 2026. An open beta runs from July 24-26 on both platforms, letting players jump in early. I'm especially hyped for Deadpool's return, with Nolan North's voice work and the character-specific banter—like his exchange with Wolverine in the trailer—promising plenty of fourth-wall-breaking fun.
