Moon Studios has announced a delay for the full release of No Rest for the Wicked, now slated for March 2027. The news came with a new trailer and a promise that the extra time will deliver improved performance, a more refined class system, and overall polish to ensure the action RPG reaches version 1.0 at 'the standard it deserves.'

The game's initial PC early access launched in April 2024, so fans have already waited a while. When it does hit 1.0 in March 2027, it will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC. Versions for Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S are still in the works but lack a release date.

To thank players for their patience, Moon Studios is extending the Founders Pack—a bundle of in-game extras—to anyone who buys the game before January 1, 2027, and recent purchases are retroactively included. This offer applies to PC players, while PS5 pre-order customers will get a similar deal early next year.

In a video released today, Moon Studios' Thomas Mahler apologized for the delay, saying, 'I hope you folks understand that this is a huge passion project of ours. We've been working on the first prototypes since 2016. We'd just like to take this extra time to make sure we land this plane safely and don't ship with any silly little bugs left.'

Mahler previously cited the less powerful Xbox Series S as a reason for the Xbox version taking longer to develop.
