Playground Games has reassured fans that Forza Horizon 6 will still make its way to PlayStation 5 this year, despite recent rumors of a potential delay. While no specific release date has been announced, the studio remains committed to bringing the game to Sony's console in 2026.

In a recent update, Playground stated, "If you're planning your trip to Discover Japan on PlayStation 5, stay tuned! Forza Horizon 6 will be releasing on PS5 later this year, and you can add the game to your Wishlist on the PlayStation Store to be notified of availability."

The gaming calendar for September and October is packed with major titles like Marvel's Wolverine and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, but Playground believes there's enough audience diversity for Forza Horizon 6 to thrive. However, a November launch could be risky, as GTA 6 is expected to dominate the industry upon its release, with its highly anticipated car customization and racing features potentially overshadowing Forza's appeal.

December might be a more viable window, though GTA 6 hype will still be strong during the holiday season.
