Microsoft is hosting a special broadcast at Tokyo Game Show 2026, and IGN is bringing you live coverage of all the news, trailers, and highlights.

The event begins on Thursday, September 17 at 3am PT / 6am ET / 11am UK / 7pm JST with the 'Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 Broadcast.' Microsoft promises an 'exciting lineup of games coming to the platform this year.' Hosted by Misuzu Araki, the show will feature 'TGS-exclusive content, new gameplay, and moments built specifically for this stage.'

'Our annual Tokyo Game Show broadcast is proof of what is possible when creativity from across the region meets a truly global platform and Xbox is committed to being the stage where new and beloved franchises reach players around the world,' Microsoft added. The broadcast will also include American Sign Language (ASL) and English Audio Descriptions (AD).

So what can we expect? For Xbox fans, it's wise to keep expectations in check. Xbox has Minecraft Dungeons 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 at TGS itself, so both games could appear during the broadcast. Also, Playground's Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan, so now might be a good time for an update on future content — and that elusive PS5 version.

Beyond that, I expect to see games from Asian studios currently working with Xbox. Perhaps RGG Studio's Stranger Than Heaven, which we know will launch day one on Game Pass, will show up with a new trailer. Team Ninja's Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is also due out early next year and is set for Game Pass, so it might make an appearance too.

The big question: will Hideo Kojima appear during the broadcast to talk about OD? Given everything that's happened with Physint lately, I'd be surprised. But you never know.

We'll have live updates below, starting about 30 minutes before the show begins. Check back for all announcements, and let us know what you're hoping to see in the comments.
