Rockstar is going all out for GTA 6's marketing, and their latest stunt involved modding actual cars to resemble vehicles from the game and parading them through the streets of Miami. The developer transformed real-world vehicles into their in-game counterparts and showcased them around the city.

The convoy featured cars with Leonida license plates—the fictional Florida plates seen in the game—driving in tight formation, including a Lamborghini police car decked out in VCPD livery. A McLaren was also tricked out to look like a real-life Progen Emerus.

Other real-life versions included the Cheetah, Coquette D10, Tempesta, and Manana. The sheer cost of pulling this off is mind-boggling.

"That Vice City Police Huracan is FIRE," one X/Twitter user wrote. Another added, "Miami is so unserious for turning a game launch into a city-wide event like this is just a normal Tuesday for them."

Social media reactions are largely positive, with fans praising the creativity of GTA 6's launch campaign. It's a refreshing change from typical AAA marketing and more extravagant than any movie promotion in recent memory.

Local news outlet Only in Dade captured some of the vehicles parked at a gas station, with the Goodyear blimp—sporting its own GTA 6 ad—hovering overhead. PlayStation's reminder that GTA 5 is leaving PS Plus soon seems downright tame by comparison.

Rockstar devs have been traveling across Florida on research trips to authentically portray the state in their satirical take on Miami and its surroundings. CBS recently ran a segment on GTA 6, marveling at how accurately the game captures the city.

Meanwhile, the Australian government released a graphic informing citizens of their right to request time off when GTA 6 launches next month. All this as Rockstar takes over Miami in a massive marketing blitz ahead of launch.

Some Miami officials have voiced concerns about the studio's influence, with Rockstar taking over beaches and partnering with the local NBA team, the Miami Heat. The hype machine is in full swing, leading up to GTA 6's release on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles on November 19.

It's been a hectic week for GTA 6 news. We've got a report on what seems to be the end of Cyberleek, details on GTA 6's sweat system, and confirmation that GTA 6 is eligible for The Game Awards 2026.
