TimTheTatman has revealed he turned down a massive sum of money for a sponsored Arc Raiders stream, and his reasoning is pretty straightforward: he just can't stand the game.

During a broadcast on September 2, the popular streamer opened up to his viewers about declining a six-figure deal to play Arc Raiders for four hours. While the exact amount remains undisclosed, the offer was clearly in the hundreds of thousands—a staggering sum for an afternoon of gaming. But TimTheTatman explained that his negative experience with the game was so intense that even that jaw-dropping paycheck couldn't lure him back.

"For me, the game frustrated me so much, I got frustrated so much with that game that I don't want to play it ever again," he said. "Even to a point where six figures didn't get me back on it."

He joked that a seven-figure deal might be enough to overcome his frustration, but ultimately, it's not an experience he's eager to revisit.

Arc Raiders was one of the most anticipated games of 2025, launching in a fiercely competitive window alongside titles like Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. It initially found a strong, supportive fanbase, peaking at 465,000 concurrent players on Steam in December 2025, just two months after release. However, interest began to wane as players complained about a lack of meaningful content and updates. Embark Studios later confirmed that Arc Raiders would receive only two major updates per year, and recently delayed future expansions until 2027.

Unsurprisingly, some fans are unhappy with the game's current state, and that discontent seems to have spread to content creators who can't even fake enthusiasm for a paycheck.
