Clarification: I Did Not See Jason's Penis in GTA 6

When we at IGN conducted our extensive interview with Rockstar North about Grand Theft Auto 6, we anticipated a range of takeaways. The possibility that I might have glimpsed protagonist Jason Duval's genitalia was definitely not one of them.

Yet, here we are.

In my article, I described a scene where Jason is nude in the shower. This apparently sparked speculation across the internet that I had been privy to a full-frontal view of one of GTA 6's main characters. For the sake of accuracy in journalism, I must set the record straight: I did not see Jason's penis.

Yes, Jason was naked. Yes, he was in the shower. But thanks to strategically placed camera angles, his modesty was completely preserved. Whether Rockstar has modeled anything below the waist remains unknown to me, and to you as well. Yes, that mischievous leaker has struck again, but we can't verify when that footage was captured, which elements are only for developer builds, and what will ultimately appear in the final game.

I understand this might disappoint those hoping for an exclusive on Jason's anatomy, but I can only report what I've actually witnessed. And believe me, if I had seen it, you'd have gotten more than just a passing mention.

Of course, if Jason does have a fully rendered penis, he wouldn't be the first GTA character to do so. Grand Theft Auto 5 gave players a partially obscured view of Trevor's privates during a cutscene. Additionally, those who explored the mountains around Los Santos would have encountered the Altruist Cult, which includes several fully nude members (ahem) among its ranks.

The presence of nudity in the game was previously confirmed by the leaked European PEGI rating for GTA 6. "There are also strong sexual themes, including nudity, scenes of intercourse and occasional scenes of sexual fetishes," it stated. "In various night clubs the player can also pay for private dances, during which, the game allows the player to move their hands onto the dancers' breasts and buttocks." It did not, however, confirm full-frontal nudity.

IGN remains dedicated to delivering the most crucial GTA 6 news as it unfolds. Apparently, that now encompasses genital visibility.
