Set in the fictional world of Eora first introduced in the Pillars of Eternity franchise, Avowed is a first-person fantasy action RPG from the award-winning team at Obsidian Entertainment.
As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to the Living Lands to investigate a mysterious plague. But what begins as a mission of duty soon becomes deeply personal—you feel as though the land recognizes you and is pulling you toward something greater. The choices you make will ripple across the Living Lands, shaping the fates of its people, its creatures, your companions, and even yourself.
Anniversary Update
Even more to do in the game! This update brings New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a brand new weapon type with two-handed staves, the ability to change character appearance whenever you’d like, new character creation presets, additional Godlike presets, custom game difficulty settings, and the addition of three new playable races: Dwarf, Aumaua, and Orlan.

Craft your own build by drawing from four distinct skill trees—Fighter, Ranger, Wizard, and Godlike—and layer a companion skillset on top of your own to create powerful synergies. Experiment with new abilities, refine your strategy, and reshape your approach as you master the challenges ahead.

A spread of companions from different species and backgrounds will fight alongside you, each with their own personalities, goals, and abilities. From a former mercenary to an eccentric wizard, these allies will grow and change based on the choices you make—and the quests you help them complete.
