PlayStation's Black Friday Sale Now Live: Huge Discounts on Digital PS5 Games

Black Friday has officially arrived early for PlayStation fans. As Sony announced yesterday, the PlayStation Store's Black Friday sale is now underway (you can browse the full sale here). Running from November 4 to November 30, the sale slashes prices on thousands of digital PS5 games. The discounts span from older titles you'd expect to see on sale to brand-new 2026 releases like Wolverine, Control Resonant, Silent Hill: Townfall, and many more. Let's dive in.

Before we get started, it's important to note that these deals are just the opening act of the Black Friday season, and they may not be the best prices we'll see on these games. With Black Friday still a few weeks away, other retailers will undoubtedly offer some of these titles as well, likely at lower prices as the month goes on. Keep that in mind when planning your purchases.

Also, Sony stated that its Black Friday sale runs November 4–30; however, many game pages in this sale indicate that discounts will only last until November 21. I'm not entirely sure why that is, but I have to assume another wave of discounts will go live as we get closer to Black Friday. With that out of the way, let's look at what's on sale.

The biggest first-party PS5 game of the fall is Marvel's Wolverine, from Insomniac, the studio behind the Spider-Man PS5 games. It's a fun (and very gory) single-player action game with a good story, though our reviewer gave it a 6/10. Only the digital deluxe edition is on sale, but the discount actually makes it $10 cheaper than the standard edition. In addition to the base game, it includes a host of exclusive suits and claw skins, as well as some in-game assistance in the form of Technique Points.

On the other hand, if you have a PS5 with a disc drive, you can grab a pre-owned copy of the standard edition at GameStop for $38.99 right now. That's an example of other retailers potentially offering bigger discounts than you'll find in the PlayStation Store's sale. The more flexible you can be with format and retailer, the better deals you'll score this month.

As for other games on sale, Control Resonant is another big new game of the fall. And once again, it's the digital deluxe edition that's discounted instead of the standard edition. It comes with an extra outfit, a starter resource bundle, and a digital artbook and soundtrack. The deluxe edition of 007: First Light is on sale for 50% off; it also includes some in-game outfits and extras.

If standard editions are more your speed and you're into horror, you can pick up Silent Hill: Townfall for a cool 20% off. Beast of Reincarnation is on sale for 25% off. And a whole lot more games are discounted as well.

But once again, if you want the best deals possible, you'll likely find bigger discounts in the weeks to come. If you want my advice, for now just buy the games you'll start playing very soon. For everything else, make a list of what games you want and keep an eye out for all the PS5 game sales to come.
