A new leak suggests that Blizzard will release Diablo 4 on the Nintendo Switch 2 next month. According to Dealabs' reliable insider billbil-kun, the Switch 2 version will launch in mid-September, priced at $69.99 / £62.99 / €69.99, over three years after its initial debut on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox in June 2023.

The game will be available digitally via the eShop, but there will also be a physical edition—though it will contain only a digital download code in an otherwise empty box (no Game-Key Card included).

An exact release date hasn't been confirmed, but it's expected to fall in the third week of September, either on Tuesday the 15th or Friday the 18th. It's also unclear if the Lord of Hatred expansion will be included.

This leak follows months of speculation that Blizzard is preparing an official Switch 2 launch, especially after the game appeared on several rating boards. An official announcement hasn't been made yet, but with Gamescom happening later this month in Cologne, Germany, we might hear something soon.

Despite being a few years old, Diablo 4 still has a dedicated player base and received its second major expansion in April. In May, players finally discovered the secret cow level, though some were underwhelmed after the long buildup.

In IGN's review, we called Diablo 4 "a stunning sequel with near perfect endgame and progression design that makes it absolutely excruciating to put down," giving it a 9/10 score.
