Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, the second major expansion for Diablo 4, is nearly here, and it seems Blizzard has finally taken note of what players want—a robust endgame that stands a real chance of keeping us hooked.
Announced at The Game Awards 2025, Lord of Hatred introduces the new region of Skovos and two new classes: the Paladin, which became available upon the expansion's announcement, and the Warlock, launching tomorrow (April 28) as we battle to defeat Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred himself.
IGN awarded Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred an 8/10 in their review, stating: "Lord of Hatred delivers a highly satisfying conclusion to Diablo 4, excellent improvements to build crafting, and an endgame that may have lasting appeal."
The expansion releases on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on April 27. You can pre-load it now by downloading the 3.0.0 patch—but be warned, it's a hefty 90GB, so make sure you have enough free space!
Curious about how to voice a character as dark as Mephisto? IGN spoke with voice actor Steve Blum about his creative process, what makes the character's voice unique, and the experience of recording in the booth.
