PlayStation 5 users diving into Crimson Desert have been encountering persistently blurry graphics across all game modes, but a community-driven solution appears to be emerging. Reports flooding social media platforms, including Reddit and Discord, highlight widespread visual issues on the PS5 version.

One player shared on Twitter: "I haven't adjusted any in-game settings—it just looks like this with missing textures. Meanwhile, on my friend's PS5 Pro, the game appears stunning with excellent textures. Developers need to address this."

The consensus among players points to compatibility problems with the PS5's 120Hz mode, particularly on televisions that don't fully support 4K at 120Hz. Many have reported success by navigating to the PS5's system settings, selecting Video Output, and disabling the "Enable 120Hz Output" option. Will Powers, PR and marketing director at Pearl Abyss (the game's publisher and developer), has actively promoted this settings adjustment on social media.

Digital Foundry's John Linneman clarified the technical aspect: "This issue specifically affects displays that accept 120Hz input but only at lower resolutions. The game triggers 120Hz support due to its 40 fps mode, causing the problem across the board."

However, the blurriness isn't confined to consoles. PC players are also struggling with similar visual degradation, though finding a reliable fix has proven more elusive. Some frustrated PC gamers have resorted to requesting refunds on Steam.

One dissatisfied player vented: "I experienced the same issue and requested a refund. The game looks incredibly blurry, as if running at 720p on a 4K monitor, with terrible light flickering. It's the worst visual experience I've ever had on my PC, and I'm using a 4080 Super."

Another added: "Everything looks oddly blurry yet oversharpened simultaneously—it's giving me headaches, something no other game has done." Some PC users have noted temporary improvements after adjusting settings and restarting the game, reminiscent of past technical woes like those seen in Borderlands 4, where framerates gradually deteriorated during extended play sessions even on high-end consoles.
