Acclaimed composer and guitar maestro Mick Gordon has shared exciting news about his upcoming live performances of the Doom and Doom Eternal soundtracks. In a chat with IGN at PAX Australia last weekend, Gordon revealed that his headlining slot at the UK's RADAR festival in 2027 is just the beginning.

"We've announced two shows so far," Gordon said. "The first is the RADAR headline show on August 1, 2027, where I'll perform with a band and a live orchestra, playing music from Doom, Doom Eternal, and more. A few days later, I'll be at the Brutal Assault Festival in the Czech Republic, which takes place in a medieval castle—how metal is that? It's a massive 25,000-person metal festival with bands like Children of Bodom, Knocked Loose, and Humanity's Last Breath."

But what if you're a Doom fan who can't make it to the UK or Europe? Don't worry—Gordon hints that more shows are on the horizon. "After the RADAR announcement, I immediately started getting offers from European metal festivals," he said. "My agency and I are planning to do this for the next two years. We hope to bring this show to various events worldwide, so expect plenty of news soon."

Gordon is thrilled to perform iconic Doom tracks like Rip & Tear, BFG Division, and At Doom's Gate for festival crowds, promising an experience far from a typical video game concert. "I've long wanted to combine the excitement of video game music with the energy of a live rock and metal show," he explained. "Sure, there are orchestral performances where people sit and listen politely—that's great. But no one has done this: a massive circle mosh pit with video game music. Through some incredible twists of fate, I'm in the perfect position to deliver that."

In the meantime, you can enjoy Gordon's heavy metal prowess on the soundtrack for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, launching October 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving later.
