GTA 6 will include sex scenes, as indicated by a new rating from international classification boards.
The PlayStation store pages for GTA 6 in New Zealand and Australia were recently updated with the game's official age rating. Similar updates appeared for the UK and US versions earlier today, but the New Zealand and Australian listings stand out by specifically mentioning sex scenes. So yes, it's confirmed: GTA 6 will feature sexual content.
Is this a departure from GTA 5? It seems so. GTA 5's rating didn't mention sex scenes, even though the game included at least one—a brief encounter where Trevor is seen with Johnny Klebitz's girlfriend. In GTA 6, these scenes could be more detailed and explicit, especially since the story centers on the romantic relationship between Jason and Lucia. Trailers have already shown intimate moments between them, suggesting the full game might include some steamy content.
Overall, Rockstar appears to be holding nothing back with GTA 6. Rating descriptions have cited blood and gore, intense violence, drug use, and more, indicating another edgy installment in the series. The developer has kept many details under wraps but recently admitted to visiting Florida strip clubs for "research purposes."
With GTA 6's release just a month away, we can expect plenty more marketing in the coming weeks. Whether that includes a new trailer or other promotional efforts remains to be seen, but Rockstar has already paid big bucks for an ad atop the Miami Heat's arena in Florida and started placing ads in New York today.
