A Red Bull athlete has shattered a world record by recreating the iconic 'Leap of Faith' from Assassin's Creed. Professional freerunner, stuntwoman, and Red Bull athlete Lilou Ruel jumped a staggering 18.2 meters into a massive haystack, breaking the world record for the highest haystack jump. For perspective, that's roughly the height of a six-story building—explaining why Ruel was screaming as she neared the ground in Red Bull's viral video capturing the moment. Fortunately, she landed safely in the hay, sparking an excited celebration from her friends for completing the heart-stopping stunt. 'Thank you, Red Bull, for giving me wings for a few seconds,' she joked on Instagram. 'I do think we can go way higher—should we try?' This isn't the first time a Red Bull athlete has broken the world record for the highest Leap of Faith. In May 2026, Dominic Tommasso fell 18.1 meters into a haystack dressed as Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, celebrating the title's release. Black Flag Resynced has had a stellar launch, selling an astonishing 2 million copies in just 24 hours. A week later, it has now surpassed 3 million copies sold, with Ubisoft announcing that New Game Plus is on the way. In fact, Black Flag raked in $1 million from its day-one DLC on Steam alone, earning the series' biggest player streak on the PC gaming platform in Assassin's Creed history. Despite this success, Black Flag's release hasn't been without controversy. Ubisoft notably announced plans to lay off 380 staff members in June, including 51 employees who contributed to the game's diving sections at Ubisoft's Barcelona office. These workers are now campaigning for fair severance pay, arguing that what they were given is 'below any reasonable standard.'
