Roblox has revealed six new 18+ games as part of its Incubator program, including Drifters, an extraction shooter developed by Bungie co-founder Alexander Seropian. The six-month program supports experienced developers in turning novel game concepts from prototype to polished games, with 26 teams in the 2026 cohort receiving resources and milestone-based support.
The early-stage titles aim to offer variety for U.S. players aged 18 and older. While only short clips and screenshots are available, each game promises a full-fledged experience within the Roblox platform. Drifters stands out as Seropian's project through his studio Look North World, which includes talent from Bungie, Disney Interactive, EA, and Epic Games. The game is set in a dangerous world filled with hostile enemies and even more hostile players.
Seropian commented, 'I spent my career trying to zig while others zagged, always seeking new opportunities to learn and grow. My journey on Roblox has been the most exciting and personally rewarding since my early PC game development days. The audience growth, tools, and opportunities on this platform represent a key part of Interactive's future. We chose Roblox to reach a new gaming audience and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality and depth of the tools.'
Other announced games include Cosmic Carnage, a car combat game from Ghost Fox Games (featuring developers from EA, Unity, and Disney), described as a Twisted Metal-like destruction derby. Fossil Force by Nibblebyte is a dinosaur-themed extraction shooter set in the Mesozoic Era. Aetherfall by Pixel Blaze Studio is an open-world progression RPG with elemental powers. Sky Pixel by Pixel Count is a 2D action-adventure RPG on floating islands. Octane by Ignition Switch is an open-world driving game set in La Vista, allowing players to explore, design tracks, and customize cars.
Roblox Studio stated, 'We're excited by what we've seen from this year's Incubator cohort. Teams are building everything from an elemental powers RPG to a dinosaur extraction shooter to an open-world driving game. There's still a long way to go, but some teams are already showcasing early glimpses using our latest technology.'
Release dates for these games are unclear as Roblox invests in experiences for older gamers. Applications for the Incubator are closed, but newcomers can explore the Jumpstart initiative for game development.
