Tides of Annihilation Unveils New Gwendolyn Voice Actress Angela Sant'Albano in Latest Trailer

Tides of Annihilation has officially confirmed that Angela Sant'Albano, known for her role in Resident Evil Requiem, will be the new voice of Gwendolyn. The announcement was made during gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL) 2026, accompanied by a fresh trailer for the eagerly awaited Arthurian action-RPG. The trailer offers fans a glimpse of Sant'Albano's interpretation of Gwendolyn, who is seen grappling with her new reality amidst the ruins of London. Encouraged by the legendary Guinevere, Gwendolyn must harness the power of the Fog—a power once wielded only by King Arthur—to save both London and the mystical realm of Avalon from destruction. The trailer also showcases Gwendolyn summoning the legendary Sir Lancelot to defeat enemies in spectacular fashion.

Sant'Albano brings a wealth of experience to the role, having appeared in The Nevers and Disney's live-action Dumbo. However, it's her performance in Resident Evil Requiem that has endeared her to the gaming community. In Capcom's ninth mainline Resident Evil title, she portrayed Grace Ashcroft, a newcomer with a shaky voice and deadly aim. Despite sharing the spotlight with fan-favorite Leon S. Kennedy, Sant'Albano helped Grace become a memorable character in the series. Now, she's set to bring that same depth to Gwendolyn in Tides of Annihilation.

"I am beyond thrilled—and deeply honored—to officially announce that I'm stepping into the role of Gwendolyn," Sant'Albano said. "Gwen is the kind of heroine I love. Sant'Albano's casting may not come as a surprise to those who have been following the game's updates. When former Gwendolyn actress Jennifer English announced her departure due to health concerns, rumors quickly circulated about her replacement. Sant'Albano was one of the first names mentioned, and speculation intensified when fans noticed changes to some character models.

Tides of Annihilation does not yet have a release date but is expected to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
