Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Teaser Reveals Familiar Night City Locations from Cyberpunk 2077

The first teaser for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has arrived, and eagle-eyed fans have already pinpointed several locations from Cyberpunk 2077 that will appear in the new season. Netflix, CD Projekt Red, and Studio Trigger released a 90-second trailer for Season 2 of the anime adaptation today, featuring a brutal montage set to Rico Nasty's 'You Can't Run From Me.' The teaser introduces new characters like Weak Kingsley, D, Roman Carax, and Talia Yang as they tear through Night City.

Despite showing only a fraction of the 10 episodes set to premiere this fall, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has given fans plenty to analyze. Some Cyberpunk 2077 players have already jumped back into the game to scout locations featured in the trailer. X user @K_a_l_e_n_k_o compiled screenshots comparing shots from the teaser to in-game spots. One image shows Roman standing on a bridge above the Riot nightclub between Watson and City Center. Another aerial shot overlooks the Afterlife bar, a key location in V's story. A harder-to-spot scene places D near the Deravaja Dojo in Little China.

A separate GIF released before the teaser shows Talia waving to Maelstrom goons at a construction site next to the Arasaka Industrial Park. Fans noted this is the same area where V and Takemura stakeout in the 'Gimme Danger' mission. 'The way this anime is so f**king game location accurate makes my heart burst of joy,' one X user commented. 'Such a small detail but the adverts in the anime being the same as the adverts in the game really shows they care,' another added.

This attention to detail is typical of Studio Trigger, which previously impressed fans with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 1 in 2022. CD Projekt Red even added nods to the original Edgerunners crew in Cyberpunk 2077 updates. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is set to premiere on Netflix this fall, and fans will continue to compare every scene to the game.
