One of the biggest questions following Rockstar's GTA 6 preorder day reveal is whether players will opt for the $80 Standard Edition or the $100 Ultimate Edition. The Standard Edition includes the base single-player experience, while the Ultimate Edition offers exclusive content like a mission and shops. The $20 price difference has sparked heated debate among fans, especially given Rockstar's decision to exclude a disc from the physical version.

To gauge player sentiment, we're polling the IGN audience. Assuming you'll buy GTA 6 in some form (let's be honest, most of us will!), which edition will you choose? Cast your vote in the poll below and share your reasoning in the comments. We'll report on the results later this week.

As a reminder, here's what the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition includes:

This pricing discussion comes amid speculation that GTA 6 could be the most expensive game ever made, with parent company Take-Two reportedly spending $1-1.5 billion so far. Business Insider cited industry analyst estimates earlier this year, though Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick declined to confirm the figure, only admitting "it was expensive."

For context, most triple-A games with headline-grabbing budgets fall in the hundreds of millions. Bungie's extraction shooter had a reported budget over $250 million, Concord's initial deal was around $200 million, and documents from the Xbox FTC case revealed The Last of Us: Part II and Horizon Forbidden West each cost over $200 million. Call of Duty games also have massive budgets, with Activision spending $700 million on Black Ops Cold War over its lifecycle. GTA 6 clearly surpasses them all.

Neither Take-Two nor Rockstar has explained the $80 price point, but Zelnick recently stated, "Consumers pay for the value you bring... Our job is to charge way less than the value delivery. How you feel about a purchase depends on the product and the price. Consumers need to feel the product is amazing and the price is fair."
