Activision has confirmed that the recently released ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 support crossplay between PS4 and PS5, clearing up confusion among players. The official Call of Duty Update account on X/Twitter detailed how the feature works, stating that players on both PlayStation platforms can matchmake together in multiplayer, and Season Pass owners can also play with non-Season Pass owners. However, there is no cross-platform play with PS3 or other hardware. The ports, developed by Iron Galaxy, launched last week with a low frame-rate cap and resolution, disappointing fans and tech experts. Despite criticism of the bare-bones ports, both games quickly topped the PlayStation Store's best-seller list. Each game is priced at $39.99, or $19.99 as a limited-time offer for PlayStation Plus subscribers, with DLC costing $29.99 each ($9.89 for PS+). Meanwhile, Activision is moving forward with the next installment, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
