Telltale CEO Reveals Why The Wolf Among Us 2 Took So Long and the Story Behind the Split with Dispatch Developer Ad Hoc

Nearly a decade after Telltale Games first announced a sequel to The Wolf Among Us, there's finally some positive news. The revived Telltale has confirmed a 2027 release for Bigby Wolf's long-awaited next chapter, along with a remastered version of his first adventure arriving later this year.

But what caused the extensive delay? The project has weathered Telltale's 2018 closure, the brand's subsequent revival, a restart, numerous delays, layoffs, and the now-ended partnership with Dispatch developer AdHoc Studio—which worked on the game for several years.
