Cyberpunk: Edgerunners almost had a different and 'even worse' ending than the one it ultimately delivered, according to writer Bartosz Sztybor.

The writer behind Studio Trigger and CD Projekt Red's acclaimed Cyberpunk 2077 anime spin-off discussed how Season 1's already bleak story could have made fans cry even more during an interview with Anime Corner. In an excerpt from the full, yet-to-be-released interview, Sztybor teased that the ending of David and Lucy's story was nearly more tragic than the one we saw when the show premiered on Netflix in 2022.
