
Fans of the Dead or Alive series have exciting news to look forward to, as Koei Tecmo has confirmed that Dead or Alive 7 is currently in development, alongside the upcoming release of Dead or Alive 6 Last Round.
During the February 2026 State of Play presentation, Yosuka Hayashi, the series producer at Koei Tecmo Games, shared two significant updates for the beloved fighting game franchise. The first announcement revealed that Dead or Alive 6 is getting a re-release for the PS5, featuring new characters, additional content, and enhanced features that are still in development. However, the highlight of the presentation was a sneak peek at Dead or Alive 7, which is being crafted to commemorate the series' 30th anniversary.
Initial footage of the yet-to-be-named PS5 game was showcased, giving viewers a glimpse of Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden in action. While a specific launch date for Dead or Alive 7 has not been disclosed, fans can stay tuned for further updates.
