A new trademark filing suggests that Lies of P may be getting a sequel titled "Wonders of O." Developer Neowiz has apparently registered the title with the EU Intellectual Property Office for an upcoming game.

While "P" in the original game stood for Pinocchio, what could "O" represent? Fans of the puppet-themed Soulslike already have a theory: following various hints pointing to The Wizard of Oz and its protagonist Dorothy—including a post-credits cameo by the Kansas heroine—many believe "O" stands for Oz.

The sequel was confirmed to be in full development earlier this year, and it's long been speculated that it would focus on characters from L. Frank Baum's Oz series. (Sorry, Odyssey fans.)

Indeed, over the past two years, Lies of P enthusiasts have been buzzing with ideas about what a Wizard of Oz-inspired Soulslike could look like, envisioning foes like flying monkeys, living trees, and the Wicked Witch of the West. One fan even joked about wanting to take down Toto.

"What if Dorothy needs to return to Oz to purge the corruption that Paracelsus has created?" wrote a fan in a Reddit thread discussing hopes for an Oz-based sequel, many of which date back a couple of years. "Paracelsus is clearly a deceiver—as was the Wizard of Oz, so they may be one and the same? Or he is continuing the work of the original Wizard of Oz and is the 'new' Wizard of Oz?"

We enjoyed Lies of P, giving it an 8/10, and its expansion Overture also earned an 8/10. "Even if it’s clearly dancing on the same old strings, Lies of P: Overture is an excellent expansion that adds a whole lot more to a game that was already great."
