The recently launched One Piece crossover event in Fortnite has players scrambling to find a rare Pirate Shop Token, which grants free access to almost everything in the item shop for two weeks (excluding real-money offers, gifting, and Battle Pass rewards). Any items claimed remain permanently on the player's account.
However, as expected, some players are resorting to questionable methods to get ahead, such as sharing exploits, selling tools to automatically farm the token, and even offering paid carry services.
While there's no official drop rate, players estimate the token appears in roughly one out of every 700,000 chests. That's incredibly rare. To speed up the process, players have discovered tricks like using grenades and cannonballs to destroy chests inside locked vaults, allowing them to open multiple chests at once without needing a key.
One player shared a screenshot of an overlay that reveals all chest locations in a match and offered to help others obtain the token for a fee. Clearly, this isn't intended gameplay.
Multiple eBay accounts are also trying to profit, listing Fortnite accounts with Pirate Shop access for thousands of dollars. Currently, there are no bids on these listings—one asks for $9,000 and allows bidding, while another seeks $10,000 or nearest offer—but that could change as the season ends on December 4.
Epic's terms of service explicitly prohibit buying and selling Fortnite accounts, as well as cheating or exploiting, so anyone attempting to cash in could face an account ban. In such cases, they'd lose access to the account—this could also happen after you buy the account, or the previous owner could contact support and claim the account is stolen. In other words, don't spend $10,000 on some Fortnite skins.
