PUBG: Battlegrounds has seen its share of unusual crossovers, but its newest partnership might be the most surprising yet. K-pop girl group IVE is bringing their hit song 'Love Dive' into the battle royale shooter, complete with themed locations, character skins, choreography, and music videos—proving once again that almost anything can be enhanced with a touch of K-pop.
The collaboration is now live on PC and will arrive on consoles on November 12. It introduces three special IVE-themed locations across the Rondo map, all inspired by the 'Love Dive' music video, including the IVE Mansion. All six members of the group are represented with character likenesses, outfits, accessories, and weapon and gear skins. Across six maps—Rondo, Erangel, Miramar, Taego, Deston, and Vikendi—players will find special IVE Emote Stages where performing one of the unique IVE emotes triggers a music video (on PC) or displays album artwork (on console). Additionally, starting islands will feature interactive elements like Cupid's Crossbow and Cupid Chicken Man.
For those who prefer their PUBG experience with less choreography and more challenge, the update also caters to that crowd. Two previous PvE modes are making a comeback with increased difficulty.
HLB: Dawnbreakers of Rondo will see more frequent enemies, additional fuel requirements, and weaker defensive objectives. It runs from November 4 to 25 on PC and November 12 to December 3 on consoles.
The returning roguelite mode Xeno Point: Hell replaces the original three difficulty levels with a single Hell difficulty and adds a tougher fourth sector. This mode runs from November 18 to December 2 on PC and November 26 to December 10 on console.
Whether you're dropping into Rondo for chicken dinners or choreography, PUBG's latest update offers something a little different. I'm starting a petition for a Stray Kids collaboration immediately.
