Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader's Saga Concludes with Final DLC This December

Owlcat has revealed that Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will wrap up its story with the game's final DLC, launching this December.

Released in December 2023, the cRPG is often hailed as one of the greatest Warhammer 40,000 video games ever created. Its exceptional writing, characters, and narrative elevated Owlcat's reputation, and its commercial triumph paved the way for another Warhammer 40,000 cRPG from the studio, the highly anticipated Dark Heresy.

But before Dark Heresy arrives, Owlcat will bring Rogue Trader's journey to a close three years post-launch with the Processional of the Damned DLC. This expansion introduces a fresh storyline, a new companion, a playable archetype, additional enemies, gameplay mechanics, gear, and more.

As with the previous three DLCs, Processional of the Damned will be seamlessly woven into the main game, adding new quests throughout the primary narrative. Here's the official description from Owlcat:

The DLC will feature a new Archetype, the melee-focused Zealot, who excels at crushing foes in close combat. A new mechanic called Madness will affect all companions, and players will face new adversaries from the Arch Enemy and the Aeladari.

With Owlcat busy developing Dark Heresy and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn—the latter being a bit of a departure for the studio—some have suggested it should take on the challenging task of creating Baldur's Gate 4. In a recent interview, I asked co-founder and creative director Alexander Mishulin about that idea, and he gave a fun response for fans.
