Seth MacFarlane and Kenan Thompson Lead Voice Cast in Family Guy Spinoff 'Stewie'

The voice cast for the upcoming Family Guy spinoff 'Stewie' has been announced, featuring SNL veteran Kenan Thompson alongside multiple roles for series creator Seth MacFarlane. MacFarlane will reprise his iconic role as the world-conquering toddler Stewie, now navigating kindergarten. He'll also voice Bean, a classmate who, according to Variety, speaks very little after being 'dropped on his head one too many times.'

Returning Family Guy alum Mike Henry, formerly the voice of Cleveland Brown, will voice BJ, the son of Bruce Straight (also voiced by Henry). Kenan Thompson takes on Royal, a classmate described as having a 'Hell no' attitude toward Stewie's wild schemes. Melissa O'Neil (The Rookie) voices Wanda, the object of Stewie's crush, while Aaron Lee plays Skunk, the class's 100-year-old turtle. Notably absent from the main cast is Brian, Stewie's loyal dog friend, though Deadline previously confirmed he'll make recurring appearances.

A synopsis reads: 'After getting the boot from his old preschool, Stewie is forced to enroll in a new one that's not exactly top-of-the-line. It's attended by a handful of kids he doesn't know, an elderly class turtle with a half-cocked theory on just about everything, and a teacher who probably shouldn't be allowed anywhere near kids. Stewie's miserable, the other kids are miserable, even the turtle is miserable... until Stewie begins rolling out his trusty array of devices to take them anywhere in space and time, turning every boring day at school into an insane and unforgettable adventure.'

'Stewie' is set to debut during the 2027-2028 TV season with a two-season order. MacFarlane co-created the series and serves as executive producer, with Family Guy veteran writer Kirker Butler as showrunner. Butler, who has written for Family Guy for over 20 years, penned the popular 'Empire Strikes Back' parody 'Something, Something, Something Dark Side,' as well as episodes of 'The Cleveland Show' and 'Only Murders in the Building.'
