Ubisoft is reportedly preparing to announce a Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Crew Motorfest, which will include a physical release using a Game-Key Card. According to Dealabs' reliable source billbil_kun, the open-world racer's Switch 2 edition is currently slated for an October 8 launch, priced at $49.99 / £44.99 / €44.99. The lower cost may be partly due to the use of Nintendo's cheaper Game-Key Card cartridge, which provides a physical box and card but still requires downloading the full game. Additionally, the game will be nearly three years old by the time it arrives on Switch 2, having originally launched in September 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Hawaii-set racer received mostly positive reviews at launch. With no sign of Forza Horizon 6 coming to Switch 2 (or PS5), this port seems well-timed for Nintendo fans looking for a break from Mario Kart World. Ubisoft is expected to officially announce The Crew Motorfest for Switch 2 soon, with more details to follow. IGN's review gave the game a 7/10, noting it's "a robust racer with a confident sense of style, but its smaller map lacks life, its multiplayer isn't really worth the wait, and its omnipresent microtransaction opportunities are still tedious."
