Ubisoft is reportedly working on a refreshed version of its acclaimed platformer Rayman Legends, slated for release later this year, according to leaks.
Titled Rayman Legends Retold, this new edition is said to launch on October 1, with physical copies available for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
The information comes from Dealabs' reliable leaker billbil-kun, who suggests the game will be revealed sometime next week. Other leaks hint it could appear during Sony's State of Play presentation on June 2.
According to N1Up, the 2.5D platformer has been enhanced with several 3D sections and character crossovers featuring familiar faces from Astro Bot and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Four-player co-op will now be playable online, a feature previously limited to local play.
Priced at $39.99, Rayman Legends Retold is expected to be an attractive deal for one of the best side-scrollers ever made, even compared to Mario titles. Originally released in 2013, it was the last mainline Rayman game directed by creator Michel Ancel and showcased Ubisoft Montpellier at its peak.
