Nearly a decade after Telltale Games first announced a sequel to The Wolf Among Us, there's finally some positive news. The revived Telltale has confirmed a 2027 release for Bigby Wolf's long-awaited next chapter, along with a remastered version of his first adventure arriving later this year.

But what caused the extensive delay? Read on for details on why Telltale restarted work on The Wolf Among Us 2 in 2023, what happened with the AdHoc partnership, how much of the Dispatch developer's work remains in the game, Telltale's future plans, and whether we'll ever see The Wolf Among Us 3.
