The Xbox Games Showcase returns this year, promising big things from Microsoft. The event starts on Sunday, June 7 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm UK time, with live updates below covering every announcement as it drops. Immediately after, a Gears of War: E-Day Direct will offer an in-depth look at the next entry in the action series.

What can we expect from the showcase? Microsoft has several major first-party titles slated for late 2026 and 2027 that still lack release dates, so those are likely to be announced today. For instance, Halo: Campaign Evolved should get another trailer and probably a release date. A Gears of War: E-Day release date is almost certain, but will Microsoft also confirm a PS5 version? Since new CEO Asha Sharma took over, there's been speculation about a return to Xbox exclusives, so it'll be interesting to see if any games skip Sony's console.

I'm also hoping for firm release dates for inXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Undead Labs' State of Decay 3, and Rare's recently delayed Fable. Meanwhile, we know we'll see the DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 during the show.

Let's speculate a bit. Bethesda is working on several new games, but will any appear at the showcase? How about a Fallout 3 Remaster? Could The Elder Scrolls 6 finally show gameplay? Despite being announced ages ago, it showing up here feels like wishful thinking.

One thing confirmed absent is Project Helix, Microsoft's next-gen console. The company says this event is all about games. And like Sony's State of Play, don't expect GTA 6 to appear—Rockstar will do its own thing when ready.

Notably, Xbox Games Showcase trailers will still show rival platforms like PlayStation 5, but this may be the last time. "Seeing the feedback on logos. It was a miss, and I own it," Sharma said last month. "We are talking about how we adjust for future Xbox shows."

While you wait, let us know in the comments what you're hoping to see! And come back for the Xbox Games Showcase itself—we'll have all the announcements as they happen.
