Microsoft's upcoming Fable reboot will once again let players romance villagers, but don't expect explicit cutscenes like those in Baldur's Gate 3. Previous Fable games allowed players to woo, bed, gift, and marry almost anyone in Albion, with sex kept offscreen as the game faded to black. The ESRB rating for the new Fable confirms that players can 'flirt and engage in sexual relations with villagers—though sexual acts are not depicted.' Fans of cheeky British dialogue will enjoy compliments like 'I love... a good shag' and 'That hand print looked lovely on your arse.' Earlier this year, IGN spoke with developer Playground Games, learning that the game features 1,000 fully voiced NPCs, all of whom are marriageable. During Microsoft's Xbox Showcase 2026, a trailer revealed Marvel star Hayley Atwell as the villain and the return of fan-favorite foe Jack of Blades. The game's first expansion, Fable: Order of the Hero, was announced, and the release date was set for February 23, 2027. Stay tuned for more gameplay footage later today.
