A new report has shed light on Microsoft's Xbox plans for 2026, while also confirming that one unannounced game is still in development. As Microsoft announced last month, Playground's Forza Horizon 6 will launch in May. The Verge reported that Halo: Campaign Evolved is tentatively targeting a summer release. Meanwhile, Gears of War: E-Day is set to arrive in the second half of the year. Playground's Fable is known to be scheduled for a fall release. Microsoft reportedly wants both Gears of War: E-Day and Fable to avoid the colossal launch of GTA 6 in November. According to the report, the Fallout 3 remaster, which fans have been eagerly awaiting, is still in 'active development', three years after it appeared in FTC documents as part of Microsoft's attempt to acquire Activision Blizzard. The Verge reported that Bethesda is striving to ensure the game is polished enough for a successful launch, similar to last year's The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, which Bethesda head Todd Howard recently told IGN he was 'very, very happy' with. The countdown to Amazon's Fallout series turned out not to be for a Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas remaster, so news that the Fallout 3 release is still happening will be some comfort to fans. The Verge provided no updates on a potential Fallout: New Vegas remaster. Meanwhile, Bethesda's space RPG Starfield is reportedly set to receive new content soon, and it seems we'll also hear about the heavily rumored PlayStation 5 version shortly. The recently announced Kiln from Double Fine is reportedly launching in April. Regarding hardware, The Verge reported that Microsoft will release a new Xbox controller this year. It is said to include Wi-Fi connectivity to reduce latency in Xbox Cloud Gaming. There is no speculation that Microsoft will release a next-generation Xbox this year, aligning with recent comments from AMD's head. However, The Verge expressed hope that Microsoft will share more about its next-generation console plans later this year. Last month, Microsoft held the Xbox Developer Direct Showcase, revealing new information and gameplay for everything from Forza Horizon 6 to Fable. Check out everything announced here.
