The upcoming PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog for February 2026 has been revealed through an online leak, showcasing a major PS5 title as its centerpiece. According to the reputable dealabs leaker billbil-kun, Sony is preparing to officially announce Marvel's Spider-Man 2 as the headline addition for subscribers this month.
Insomniac Games' acclaimed superhero sequel will be accompanied by the PS5 online racing game Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown and the artistic indie title Neva, available on both PS4 and PS5. All three games are set to become claimable starting February 17.
Originally launched in October 2023, Spider-Man 2 represents Insomniac's third major Marvel release, building upon the success of its original Spider-Man game and the follow-up Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The sequel features both Peter Parker and Miles Morales teaming up to confront villains like Kraven the Hunter and the Venom symbiote.
Spider-Man 2's inclusion in the PlayStation Plus catalog arrives at a notable moment. Following its PC release in January 2025, the game's availability coincides with growing anticipation for Insomniac's next project, Marvel's Wolverine, which may receive further details during PlayStation's upcoming State of Play broadcast later this week. These announcements could potentially be made official during the event.
In IGN's review, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was praised as "Insomniac's best tale yet," earning an 8/10 score. The review highlighted it as "a reliably fun superhero power trip," though it noted some shortcomings in the open-world design.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, released in 2024, received mixed feedback. IGN's 5/10 review pointed out issues such as "forced online requirements, inconsistent AI difficulty, a stale car list, and chore-like progression," despite acknowledging its solid driving mechanics and visually appealing open world.
Neva, launched in October 2024, has been well-received for its artistic side-scrolling puzzle-platformer gameplay. Gameplay footage of the title can be viewed above for those interested.
