Konami has revealed Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, a new stylized 2D game in the beloved series, as part of the franchise's 40th-anniversary celebrations. The title is being co-developed by Evil Empire, known for The Rogue Prince of Persia and the Return to Castlevania DLC for Dead Cells, and Motion Twin, the creators of Dead Cells. Set for release in 2026, this announcement marks the first in a series of reveals planned to honor Castlevania's legacy, which began on the original Nintendo Entertainment System and has since expanded into multiple successful and critically acclaimed adult animated series on Netflix.
