The latest glimpse of Silent Hill: Townfall has arrived, showcasing Konami's upcoming survival horror entry set and developed in Scotland. During Sony's State of Play and Konami's Silent Hill Transmission events, fans witnessed the fog-drenched town of St. Amelia and protagonist Simon Ordell through a first-person lens.

Developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn (known for Stories Untold and Observation) and published by Annapurna Interactive, Townfall introduces fresh mechanics while preserving series staples. Players can fend off grotesque foes using makeshift weapons like wooden planks, pipes, and a pistol, or employ stealth tactics with a portable "CRTV" device.

This analog-style handheld serves dual purposes: it delivers narrative elements requiring in-game tuning and reveals enemy silhouettes through static when taking cover—a clever gameplay integration. The plot centers on mystery, with Ordell repeatedly awakening in St. Amelia; a highlighted hospital wrist tag in the trailer hints at potential dream or coma-induced hallucinations.

No release date was confirmed, though trailer references to "8-19" sparked speculation about an August 19 launch. The game is currently available to wishlist on PlayStation, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. For additional announcements from State of Play, follow the full coverage here.
