Fuse Games, the developer behind Star Wars: Galactic Racer, has revealed that the upcoming racing adventure will include a balanced roster of both new characters and beloved figures from the Star Wars universe. This announcement follows the recent confirmation that Ben Quadinaros from The Phantom Menace will be making a return.

In an extensive interview with IGN covering the game's track design, story mode, and unique boost mechanics, creative director Kieran Crimmins hinted that more characters from past Star Wars films and games will join the lineup. "We're aiming for a good mix of familiar faces and new characters," Crimmins stated. "It's important to get that balance right so that whether you're a fan of the movies or the games, you'll find something recognizable. Without that, it wouldn't feel like a true Star Wars experience."

Crimmins acknowledged the inclusion of Sebulba and Quadinaros but remained tight-lipped about other specifics. "We can't reveal exactly who else is in yet, sorry," he added.

Speculation suggests that other participants from Episode I's podrace, such as those from the Boonta Eve Classic which featured 18 racers, might appear. Notable exclusions could include Ratts Tyerell, who perished during the race, and Anakin Skywalker, whose fate is well-known.

Matt Webster, founder and CEO of Fuse Games, expanded on the racing theme in Star Wars, hinting at potential inclusions from various media. "Racing has always been part of Star Wars in different forms," Webster noted. "From the iconic podracing in Episode I to the riot racing in The Bad Batch Season 2 and the Aces starfighter racing in Star Wars Resistance, there's a lot to draw from."

Set after the events of Return of the Jedi, Galactic Racer opens the door for a wide range of characters to appear. While Luke Skywalker might be occupied with other duties during this era, his speeder bike skills on Endor leave room for imagination.
