Embark Studios has detailed everything coming in the Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update, offering a first glimpse at two new Arc threats, the Surgeon Raider Deck, modifications to the Dam Battleground map, and yes—beards for your character.
The extensive February update was revealed in a blog post on the official website, providing comprehensive information about all the new content arriving on February 24, complete with a proper trailer for the previously announced Hurricane map condition.
An official description for Shrouded Sky sets the scene: "Shani is blindsided by a Hurricane that engulfs the Rust Belt with ferocious speed and unrelenting force. Raiders have been caught in the howling, gnashing winds, the Tubes are at risk of flooding, and rumors quickly spread of new ARC prowling the surface among the fog. You are not cleared to leave in such conditions; between the low visibility, unsuitable equipment, and risk to the Tube systems, it’s just not worth the danger… but that’s just an invitation to a Raider."
As the Hurricane introduces extra challenge for players who were just getting comfortable with Embark's rotating selection of Arc Raiders events, they'll need to brave more than just the weather. Two new unique Arcs will appear starting with Shrouded Sky: the Firefly and the Comet. The Firefly is another drone-style enemy, but this armored aerial pest spits fire from above instead of firing light ammo or stun shots. The Comet is a ground-based, sphere-shaped enemy similar to Pops and Fireballs, described as calmly patrolling the surface before hitting raiders with a "seismic boom."
Another highlight of the February content drop is a map update for Dam Battlegrounds. In a conversation with IGN, Embark CEO Patrick Söderlund discussed the map, stating, "We know from data that's the map that people seem to gravitate mostly toward, that people like the most, but there's still things in there that I think the developers feel like we can improve." He hinted that "all maps are going to get, most likely, touched," but for Dam Battlegrounds specifically, today's post reveals a new high-value loot area called the Controlled Access Zone.
While new Arc threats and existing enemies like the Rocketeer will continue challenging Raiders, players will be pleased to see some less-threatening additions in the next update too. The third Raider Deck features a Surgeon theme, with Embark also directing players to check out The Volare and Devotee cosmetic sets in the in-game store.
For those looking to customize their survivors, facial hair has finally arrived in Speranza. All players can access the new Stubble cosmetic when the update launches, with a Full Beard option available to unlock via the Surgeon Deck. Stubble Beard and Thick Moustache options will also be purchasable in the store.
Arc Raiders launched on October 30, 2025, and continues to roll out smaller weekly updates alongside more substantial monthly ones. This is part of a four-month roadmap laid out by Embark, promising even more new content through April. During an interview with Söderlund earlier this month, we got a sneak peek at some of the developer's plans and discussed how the game's success has positioned the team for future achievements.
