After experiencing several postponements, Bungie is finally set to kick off Marathon's 'Server Slam' event starting tomorrow, February 26, and continuing through March 2.
Marathon is a player-versus-player extraction shooter that takes place on the enigmatic world of Tau Ceti IV. Gamers take on the role of Runners, cybernetically enhanced mercenaries engineered to withstand the planet's extreme conditions, as they delve into the abandoned colony that once thrived on Tau Ceti's surface.
The complete launch of Marathon is slated for March 5 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, giving players a chance to experience the game before making a purchase. Additionally, Bungie is leveraging the Server Slam to evaluate its anti-cheat measures and encourages participants to report any cheaters they come across.

PlayStation Plus members will also have the opportunity to secure bonus weapon charms inspired by Ghost of Yōtei, Death Stranding 2, and Helldivers 2 when the game launches. Steam users who play Marathon will automatically receive the exclusive Crowbar Weapon Charm (no Half-Life 3 hints intended!) upon Marathon's release on March 5. Meanwhile, Xbox Series X and S players will be granted the exclusive Emerald Clutch Weapon Charm and Emerald Catch Weapon Charm.
