Marvel Rivals players are calling on NetEase Games to intervene after an unofficial bounty website emerged, raising concerns that it could damage the very community it claims to protect.

The alarm was raised by fans of the hero shooter when the third-party site Intlist.org launched on February 22. Created by Marvel Rivals content creator and X/Twitter user EchoRivals, its official Discord page states the goal is to let players name those who intentionally sabotage or 'throw' multiplayer matches and 'put a price on their head.'

In a promotional post, EchoRivals wrote: 'Tired of griefers getting away with it? 🚨I built @IntlistOrg - post a bounty on any thrower. The community queues in, claims it, and earns 80% of the pool. 💰⚡ Free to post🎮 6 games supported💵 Payouts via PayPalPortion of proceeds may go toward community tournaments -…' The site's X account echoed this with 'Put a bounty on griefers & throwers,' promising an 80% payout for those who successfully retaliate by throwing matches.

Intlist allows bounties for disruptive behavior across seven games: Deadlock, Overwatch, Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Dota 2, and Marvel Rivals. While pitched as a solution to a common problem, Marvel Rivals fans have highlighted several unaddressed issues.

Critics warn that a widely used bounty site could trigger a domino effect, punishing not just griefers but all players. One Reddit user noted an increase in sabotaged matches, cautioning that 'now every game is people throwing each other’s games.' Another fan questioned the logic, saying, 'Something tells me throwing the game of someone who throws already is not going to annoy anyone but the four unfortunate randoms on the team.'

In response to criticism, the Intlist account stated: 'Collateral damage is an unfortunate reality of war.'

Further concerns center on how the community identifies saboteurs and Intlist's verification process. Players worry about insufficient safeguards, fearing well-meaning players could fall victim to retaliation. Reports that notable Marvel Rivals content creators like Jay3 were listed as offenders only heightened these fears.

As of this story's publication, Intlist has gone offline, with its team hinting at 'something big is coming.' Discord messages from EchoRivals reveal the site was locked down after detecting 'unauthorized access to our database from a single bad actor.' The post added that 'a limited number of email addresses tied to bounty posts were exposed,' but no passwords, payment info, or plaintext IP addresses were compromised. The site is temporarily offline for security upgrades.

EchoRivals insists their aim is to tackle long-standing issues in competitive gaming, including Marvel Rivals. Since its late 2024 launch, the game has seen consistent reports of griefing, with the real-world Kingsman drama recently leading to an influx of thrown matches as players joke around. One Reddit user commented, 'I see a lot of throwers in general now who die a couple times and then say they’re just playing for the vibes while AFKing or throwing,' adding they stopped playing Season 6 due to the unbearable situation.

Players have directly appealed to Marvel Rivals on social media, with one tweeting: 'Hey @MarvelRivals, there's a website where people are offering money to throw people! Please address it, thank you :)'

Although Intlist targets multiple games, it has shown particular interest in Marvel Rivals. One post even offers to 'gladly shut down' if NetEase bans malicious players and fixes its Engagement Optimized Matchmaking (EOMM), a tactic the studio has previously denied using.

Many are demanding the site's removal, fearing its impact on all players, while others argue action is needed against griefers. Most agree that developers should step in. One fan remarked, 'People resorting to soft doxing is kinda wild. I dont understand why [NetEase] refuses do to anything when they can clearly code a bare minimum system to pick up lord farmers. Profits. Its for profits thats why.' Another X user sarcastically added, 'Because what we need in games is more throwers and not a system that rewards positivity instead.'

Marvel Rivals is currently in Season 6, featuring new playable characters Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone. NetEase has not yet addressed long-term plans to handle players who ruin the fun for others.
