John Carpenter, the legendary horror filmmaker and avid gamer, is proving he's far from done crafting chilling tales. Storm King Comics has announced the release of 'Cathedral,' marking Carpenter's debut as the author of a full-length graphic novel.
Co-written by Carpenter, producer Sandy King, and Sean Sobczak, 'Cathedral' spans 120 pages and showcases artwork by Federico De Luca and Luis Guaragna, with colors by Ryan Winn and lettering by Marshall Dillon. The cover art has been revealed, offering a glimpse into the dark world within.
In an official statement, Carpenter shared his inspiration: "I saw it in a dream: a nightmare landscape deep underground filled with monsters too weird and sinister to exist in daylight. I knew instantly I had to get these things out of my head and into everyone else’s brains."
Priced at $22.99, 'John Carpenter's Cathedral' is set to hit shelves on August 4, 2026, and is available for pre-order on Amazon. For fans eager for more Carpenter content, don't miss our hands-on preview of his upcoming game, 'John Carpenter's Toxic Commando.'
