The unsettling farming simulation Grave Seasons has officially confirmed its launch date for August 14, 2026, on PC and consoles, as revealed in a fresh trailer. Publisher Blumhouse Games and developer Perfect Garbage made an appearance during the March 2026 Xbox Partner Preview livestream, highlighting the game's dark take on small-town life. Alongside the late-summer release announcement, the trailer also lets fans know they'll soon get to try out a demo before the full version arrives on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, and Game Pass.
Blumhouse Games, a branch of Jason Blum's horror film production company dedicated to interactive entertainment, first unveiled Grave Seasons in June 2024 as part of a lineup of new video games. While typical farming sims drop players into quaint villages with adorable residents, Perfect Garbage's pixelated horror title transports you to the fictional town of Ashenridge with a chilling twist: what if one of the villagers is a serial killer?
An official description sets the scene: "After a daring escape from prison, you've settled into your new home in Ashenridge, a seemingly perfect town with an eerie undercurrent. As you work to build your farm and integrate into the community, a series of murders begins to disrupt the peace, threatening your newfound tranquility."
Last summer, we had the opportunity to experience how Grave Seasons blends classic farming mechanics with supernatural elements in a hands-on preview. We came away excited about its unique fusion of mystery and cozy gameplay.
In our preview, we noted: "Grave Seasons aims to bring a sinister edge to the farming sim genre with an engaging horror-mystery that looks set to offer plenty of personality, scares, and charm. I'm eager to discover more about the game's intriguing townsfolk and the secrets hidden beneath Ashenridge's idyllic surface when it launches on PC and consoles next year."
