Sony has officially revealed the PlayStation Plus monthly free games for April 2026, confirming earlier rumors that had partially leaked the lineup. The selection consists of three titles available to claim from Tuesday, April 7 through Monday, May 4. As expected, the offerings include the engaging Soulslike game Lords of the Fallen and the MMORPG-inspired Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. Rounding out the trio is a pleasant surprise: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, which bundles Lara Croft's first three adventures with all expansions, hidden levels, and a visual upgrade, while allowing players to toggle back to the original graphics. This free release comes after controversy over new cosmetics added to the remaster, which fans criticized as looking like AI-generated content. Developers at Saber Interactive, who worked on the remaster, distanced themselves from the additions, and publisher Aspyr denied using AI assets, stating the outfits were crafted by their artists. IGN's 2024 review praised the remaster, noting the team's passion for Lara Croft's legacy. While IGN hasn't reviewed Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, they gave Lords of the Fallen an 8/10, highlighting its innovative world-swapping mechanic. Meanwhile, players have until Monday, April 6 to add March's games—PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise, Slime Rancher 2, and The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road—to their libraries before they're replaced.
