As anticipation builds for Forza Horizon 6's launch next month, Playground Games has given fans their clearest glimpse yet of the game's complete Japanese map. Set to bring the Horizon Festival to the 'scenic and breathtaking' landscapes of Japan starting May 19 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, this reveal marks the first time the developer has shown the entire terrain. Players will transition from bustling urban sprawls to verdant countryside vistas, all while behind the wheel of over 550 real-world vehicles.

On social media, the team teased, 'This is Horizon Japan! From the iconic downtown streets of Tokyo City to the snowy peaks of the Japanese Alps, Forza Horizon 6 features our most dense and vertical map to date.' Accompanying this announcement was a detailed, albeit distant, image of the upcoming racing game's layout.

Naturally, fans have been eagerly zooming in to explore the circuit, highlighting 'fun' yet challenging areas. Some have voiced concerns that the map appears 'small,' especially the city section, though without a scale reference, it's hard to compare it directly to previous entries in the series.

One fan noted on social media that Tokyo is rumored to be 'four times the size of the city in Horizon 5,' while another creatively overlaid Forza Horizon 5's map onto the new one, using airport runways to estimate positioning and gauge the overall size and scale.

The map also showcases notable landmarks like Mt. Akina, what might be the Nikko or Tsukuba circuit (the exact identity remains a topic of debate), and a network of intricate, densely packed roads. A 'circular' highway seems to wrap around the entire map, adding to the exploration possibilities.

On Reddit, an excited commenter shared, 'This map looks incredible. I'm not exaggerating when I say the developers have nearly perfected turning Japan into a toybox of diverse biomes and driving excitement. Tokyo City resembles a maze, we have plenty of winding touges, the alpine area up top is stunning, the stadium appears to serve a similar role as in FH5 (a nice touch), the dock area is impressive, and honestly, I'm pleased there are still ample off-roading paths.'

They added, 'I understand people might have initial reservations when seeing a new map for the first time, but perhaps we're all a bit too quick to judge. Once players start cruising around and experiencing these locations in detail, the true beauty of Forza Horizon 6 will shine through.'
