Grubb stated, 'I've heard that Fable has been pushed internally. They're still aiming for this year, but worries about GTA 6 could push it to December or even 2027, leaving its status uncertain.' In response, the Fable X/Twitter account told a fan, 'We're excited to welcome you to Albion in Autumn 2026!' This reiteration appears to directly address the recent speculation. Microsoft, like many AAA publishers, is likely fine-tuning release dates in light of GTA 6's impact, with other titles such as Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day (set for 2026), and the rumored Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 still awaiting confirmed dates.
